About Villa Alexandra
Villa Alexandra is located in the south of Crete, just outside the village of Makry Gialos, with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean. Just a short walk of 600 meters away is the quiet sandy beach of Lagada (or Lagkada), which is almost 1,5 km. long.
Since the villa is built partly into a slope the front door is located on the upper floor. The entrance opens into the spaceous and air conditioned living room (60 m2) with an open kitchen, sitting area and dinner table. The sitting area consists of two 3-seater sofas en two lounge chairs. There is a DVD/CD/MP3 player and a 42" flatscreen TV with an Android TV box. The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, oven, cooker, microwave oven and dish washing machine.
A wide sliding door gives access to the roof terrace which offers a wide view over the olive orchard. To the north and east are the mountains of Crete, very early in the season you may see some peaks covered with snow. To the west is the bay of Makrigialos, the headland behind the village's fishing harbour can be seen in the distance.
The staircase leads down to the bottom floor where the bedrooms and bathrooms are. There are a total of three generous 2-person bedrooms, each with its own air conditioner. Two of those are furnished with two single beds. The master bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a washbasin, toilet and a large corner bath. There is also a separate bathroom with 2 washbasins and a shower, and a separate toilet. A washing machine is present in the separate bathroom. Both the bath and the shower are equipped with thermostatic taps. Finally there is a small (6 m2) room that can be used for storage or where a small child's bed can be placed. The side door and the master bedroom's sliding door both open to the tiled veranda. This is at a higher elevation than the olive orchard, so the veranda also offers a view over the olive trees to the sea.
